Stafforce are recruiting skilled Quality Controller for our client, an employer of choice, Tayto Ltd, in Scunthorpe DN16 1TT. Tayto is a large family-owned business which manufactures Golden Wonder products as well as crisps and snacks for major supermarkets. Due to development and growth, Tayto are looking to recruit a variety of skilled individuals, who have quality audit or control experience to work in our Manufacturing department.
We are looking specifically for Quality Controller to work on a day and night shift.
Shift pattern: 6AM to 2PM, 2PM to 10PM, and 10PM to 6AM (Monday to Friday)
Pay: £12.52 (day) and £13.08 (night) per hour
We are looking for individuals who have some relevant in quality auditing within a skilled Quality Control role. This would be the perfect opportunity for someone looking for career progression.
Key Responsibilities
- Auditing the processing operation and completing documentation checks throughout the shift.
- Identifying potential issues, communicating them effectively to the operational team at all levels (technical, production, engineering), assisting in immediate corrective action.
- Following up corrective actions to ensure timely and accurate closure.
- Completing QA paperwork with accuracy, in a timely manner.
- Completing process control audits, e.g. GMP, as required.
- Conducting environmental & hand swabbing, water and product sampling, chemical titrations and any other sampling, as required.
- Calibrating various items of equipment used to measure compliance to pre-requisites and process controls, as required.
- Panelling finished products (and shelf-life samples where required) daily to check quality and accuracy to specification.
- Assisting with shelf-life trials and validation work.
- Using IT systems to record and report day-to-day events and share data with the operational teams.
- Having a pro-active approach to the demanding technical and quality workload.
- Communicating and liaising effectively with other functions and departments, playing a team role in the company’s operations.
- Complying with and promoting all Tayto Group Limited policies and procedures.
- Communicating and promoting health and safety within the department and on site, taking action to improve health and safety performance via accident reduction and hazard reporting.
