Nicholas Associates have an excellent opportunity for a Contracts Coordinator based in Leicester.
Our client designs and manufactures high power electrical resistors used in electricity generation, transmission and distribution as well as in the industrial automation, marine, telecoms and rail transit markets.
You will be responsible for To monitoring and controlling orders (contracts) received by the company, ensuring customer expectations are satisfied & that all related departments are aware of the requirements of the order, and that these are achieved.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor progress of orders through all departments against pre agreed targets, prompting where required. Ensure this information is regularly reported to sales, engineering and production personnel.
- Ensure that engineering and production departments are aware of long lead time ‘sub contracted’ items that could impact on the delivery of an order.
- Handle and control changes, variations and amendments to orders, ensure these are processed to gain maximum advantage for the business.
- Manage and oversee, where required, customer visits and inspections, ensure all departments are aware and ready for such visits.
- Prepare and process customers contract documentation as agreed with the sales department and in accordance with the contract requirements. Ensure outstanding customer information is progressed in a timely manner to meet all control mileposts.
- Liaise with customers to ensure agreed mileposts are achieved, if for any reason there are delays ensure that the customer is kept informed at all times.
- Liaise with the logistics to ensure that contracts requiring export documentation, packing and or shipping are dealt with effectively and efficiently and in line with the customers expectations.
- Liaise with subcontract packing companies as required with reference to customer packing requirements.
You will have:
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft products including Word and Excel
- Be self–motivated
- Be organised, accurate and have an eye for detail
- Sound knowledge of Incoterms / contracts / terms and conditions of sale
- Previously worked within the engineering/manufacturing sector
- Customer focused approach with excellent communication skills
- Export or international experience.
