Site Contract Manager
12-months FTC
Stafford, Staffordshire
£42ph on a 37hr week – weekly pay.
GiPro (part of GiGroup Holding) is proud to partner exclusively with one of the most recognised global renewable energy businesses, who are on a mission to develop cutting-edge monitoring technologies, typically deployed in an Electrical Substation, allowing the customer to understand and optimise the operating condition of their Electrical Power Transformers, circuit breakers and other substation assets.
The right candidate would be tasked to provide systematic and efficient contract administration and management of the execution of contracts with subcontractors and suppliers, maximizing financial and operational performance, and minimizing risks.
Please note that this is a 12-months FTC, presenting the opportunity to be extended or taken on permanent basis.
The role:
- Establish, manage, and negotiate project specific claims (including insurance claim) and variation orders to / from subcontractors, suppliers and consortium partner.
- Support and provide guidance to project and site teams on general contractual issues.
- Ensure the successful execution of site activities contracts as per agreed commercial obligations, financial and qualitative targets.
- Proactively assess risk/claim management for site activities contracts.
- Ensure that all important site records are adequately maintained.
- Provide support and direction to site staff on all contractual and commercial matters.
- Ensuring that subcontractors, consortium partners and contractors/suppliers comply with their contractual obligations.
- Ensure that all delay events and non-budgeted costs are properly identified, classified, well documented and that the responsible parties (incl. customers, contractors and insurers) are notified in a timely manner, in full coordination with Project Senior Contract Manager.
- Provide recommendations and advice on how to avoid additional cost and, when improbable, how to minimize the costs of legitimate claims.
- Support detailed scheduling, planning, coordination of work and continuous supervision; early recognition of possible critical deadlines; arrangement or demand for and implementation of corrective actions; forward information to site, contract and project management
- Ensure all subcontractors’ correspondence is timely and duly answered.
- In coordination with Project Senior Contract Manager ensure that all correspondences to customer regarding site activities are timely sent and duly answered.
- Ensure commercial and contractual feedback to the relevant site and project organizations (including Procurement and Logistic) as well as the delegating line organization.
- Ensure, together with the site team, that all BOQ and scope changes are recorded and documented properly and are clearly traceable to the contractual scope and BOQs as well as the respective erection/construction work package/system.
- Execute and/or support closeout of site contracts including the production of a site contract management closeout report when requested.
About you:
- At least 5 years’ experience in international EPC contracts, preferably in energy and renewable energy sectors.
- Strong Commercial/negotiation and legal skills.
- Excellent computer skills in MS-Windows and Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Fluent in English (oral and written), knowledge of any other language is appreciated.
- Planning, organization, negotiation and presentation skills.
- Degree in an appropriate technical discipline, e.g. quantity surveying, construction, engineering.
- •Additional project management and/or commercial education and professional registration (e.g. RICS) is appreciated.
