Staff Accountant (Bilingual: Mandarin/English)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our growing team in San Diego. Key Responsibilities:
- Create and manage purchase orders using QuickBooks Online
- Respond to vendor inquiries via phone and email; maintain the vendor master file
- Process accounts payable and follow up on past-due accounts receivable
- Manage daily banking activities including cash handling, reconciliations, and bank settlements
- Support the fixed asset and inventory annual physical counts
- Collect W-9 forms from vendors; assist with 1099/1096 filings
- Assist in budget preparation and balance sheet reconciliations; resolve discrepancies
- Prepare simple journal entries with appropriate documentation
- Generate financial statements in Chinese (Mandarin required)
- Provide administrative and cross-functional support to management and staff
- Participate in automation efforts to streamline manual processes
- Perform additional tasks and projects as assigned
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 1-2 years of relevant accounting experience
- Bilingual in English and Mandarin (required – must be able to read and prepare financial statements in Mandarin)
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Proficient in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) prefrred
- Experience with ERP systems a plus
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
