Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Fabricator and Welder to join our team at the Haith Group. The ideal candidate will possess a 'City and Guilds' qualification in Fabricating/Welding or equivalent experience in the field. This role involves fabricating and welding mild steel and stainless steel components to high standards using technical drawings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fabrication and Welding: Accurately fabricate and weld components to meet quality standards.
  • Equipment Setup: Set up equipment for different materials and tasks.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow all safety regulations and use required PPE. Perform daily equipment checks.
  • Tool Use: Proficient use of hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
  • Team Collaboration: Work effectively within a team of skilled tradespeople.
  • Work Environment: Adapt to work in hot, cold, dirty, and fast-paced environments.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct quality checks to ensure adherence to standards.
  • Work flow Management: Communicate effectively with management to prioritise tasks.
  • Work Area Maintenance: Maintain a clean and safe work space.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Fabrication and Welding Expertise: Demonstrable ability in fabrication and welding techniques.
  • Technical Knowledge: Basic mechanical engineering understanding.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Drawing Interpretation: Proficiency in reading and understanding technical drawings.
  • Manual Dexterity: Capable of assembling parts quickly and accurately.
  • Crane and Tool Use: Competence in using overhead crane equipment and various hand tools (training provided).
  • Qualifications:
    • City & Guilds or equivalent experience
    • Apprentice trained in engineering
    • EITB Qualification, Welding Qualification, Fabrication Qualification
    • Level 2 or Level 3 diploma in engineering
    • Full driving licence
  • Preferred: Health & Safety qualifications and experience with safe working practices.

Salary and Benefits:

  • Hourly Pay: £14.00.
  • Leave: 20 days annual leave (including 5 days for Christmas) plus Bank Holidays.
  • Working Hours:
    • Monday - Thursday: 08:00 AM - 17:00 PM
    • Friday: 08:00 AM - 16:30 PM
