Days - Mon to Thurs 8-4:30 Fri 8-4

Our client is a leading Chemical manufacturer, they are currently looking for an E+I Engineer with opportunity to work on simplification, improvement and modernisation of site systems and data management. This could potentially lead into a Senior E+I role or even progress you into Technical/operational management position.

Role Description

  • As part of the central maintenance team, this role ensures that the site’s COMAH plants are running efficiently and safely by providing a high-quality E&I engineering service
  • Supporting to the maintenance team day to day with engineering tasks
  • Implementing and developing suitable site maintenance regimes, systems, and records
  • Reporting and tracking all essential spares for production plant continuity
  • Working alongside specialist contractors and internal teams to maintain site infrastructure
  • Providing project engineering service (design, installation, and commissioning) for minor site E&I projects including Capex, and identifying and initiating plant/process improvement projects
  • Creating maintenance plans for routine work and shutdown period.
  • Managing SAP technical records and maintenance routines
  • Developing skills and site knowledge to provide effective cover for the Senior E&I Engineer
  • You will be the line manager for the E&I Maintenance Supervisor
  • Must have a strong technical skill set and hands on understanding of instrumentation used in the process industries - e.g. flow, temperature, pressure, level - function, technologies, and specifications

Skills and Qualifications

  • Level 4 minimum HNC or HND qualified, or graduate level Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer, with instrumentation bias.
  • The preferred candidate will have significant hands-on maintenance experience, for example as a time-served instrumentation technician
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in relevant industrial (process industries) environments, or an E&I project environment with significant on-site process industries experience.
  • Experience working on a COMAH site or COMAH related projects - advantageous
  • Hazardous area experience (including COMPEX training) - advantageous
  • High Voltage electrical infrastructure switching/maintenance experience - advantageous
  • Experience in using SAP maintenance module - advantageous
  • Strong communication skills at all levels
  • Project management skills
