Job Opportunity: Plant Manager IVC

Location: Uckfield, East Sussex

Salary: Around £33,500 per annum

• Role: Plant Manager
• Start Date: As soon as possible
• Shift (if known): Monday to Friday, plus Saturday mornings
• Type of Role: Permanent
• Location: Uckfield Plant, East Sussex

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Plant Manager to join our esteemed client based in Uckfield, East Sussex. As a leading recruitment agency collaborating with this reputable company, we are excited to connect with qualified individuals who are passionate about safety, efficiency, and excellence in plant operations.

Main Duties/Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of Health and Safety protocols for yourself, visitors, and contractors on-site.
• Uphold and promote compliance with company Health and Safety policies and procedures.
• Oversee the accurate production of Readymix products.
• Ensure timely delivery of raw materials.
• Conduct weekly and monthly stock checks meticulously.
• Manage and control site access for drivers, visitors, and customers, while enforcing site rules.
• Promptly report any defects and coordinate with management and contractors for plant maintenance.
• Maintain general housekeeping standards and contribute to site improvements.
• Enforce environmental policies and procedures, ensuring records are up-to-date.
• Update and monitor records within the PACS system.
• Demonstrate flexibility and a positive attitude towards working hours aligned with business needs.

Experience/Qualifications:

• Self-motivated, responsible, with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated flexibility and initiative.
• Good physical fitness.
• Understanding and working knowledge of batching systems, with the ability to batch a variety of plants desirable.
• Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with customers and suppliers.
• Commitment to maintaining Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.
• Flexible approach to working hours and locations.
• Full driving license essential, including FLS desirable.
