About the role

Talent International are recruiting for a APS6 Fraud Intelligence Analyst for one of our NSW Government Clients for a 12 month contract based in Surry Hills. This role will provide detailed technical, professional, policy, operational support and advice in relation to complex problems.

Duties

• Utilising a Certificate IV in Government (Investigation), or its equivalent, as set out in Public Services Training Package (PSP04) to support the planning and production of financial intelligence outputs and outcomes.
• Conducting fraud assessments and producing financial intelligence reports for complex matters from the collection, evaluation and analysis of information.
• Leading tactical intelligence projects through the development of collection plans, assigning tasks, analysing financial and other information, and articulating findings.
• Complying with all relevant legislation, policy and guidelines for the management of information and the use of ICT systems and tools.
• Contributing to the development of business rules, refinements and suggested avenues of analysis and investigation.
• Producing financial intelligence products within set timeframes in compliance with legislative, policy and information security frameworks.
• Maintaining accurate files and records in relation to business decisions and intelligence activities and functions, contributing to reporting requirements.
• Providing ongoing intelligence support for matters referred for investigation.

Desirable skills

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in utilising Excel, interrogating data
• Previous experience in an intelligence role
