- The DCSV will act under the responsibility of the DCSSV, who is also RSES-D.
- Prior to taking any operational decision that deviates from the program / MoC in use or DCSSV’s written instructions, the DCSSV must be consulted directly first.
- Review operations programs and supervise to ensure the implementation of each program.
- Control the activity of contractors and supervisors during his shift.
- Along with DCSSV, personally supervise delicate or risky operations, in order to develop experience.
- Optimize operations in cooperation with engineering, geology and reservoir entities.
- Optimize rig equipment in cooperation with drilling rig contractor.
- Analyse the instantaneous data, recognize weak signals to anticipate potential problems, plan and suggest alternative strategies.
- Review equipment or tool operating procedures when necessary in order to ensure safe, efficient execution of operations programs, MoC etc.
- Ensure the reliability of technical information, ensure or control daily cost and final reporting of wells or of operations.
- Participate in the production of technical and operational syntheses.
- Optimize the activities of service providers and assess their performance.
- Contribute to the improvement of skills and know-how.
- Ensure SIMOPS dossier files are kept current and complete.
