Role Overview:

As an Assistant Site Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day operations on site. Working closely with the Site Manager, you will ensure that all tasks are completed to the highest standards, in line with health and safety regulations, and within the project timeline.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Assist in coordinating and overseeing construction activities on site, ensuring adherence to project specifications and quality standards.

Collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure efficient workflow and timely delivery of materials and services.

Monitor and enforce health and safety protocols, promoting a culture of safety awareness among the workforce.

Conduct regular site inspections to identify any potential issues or deviations from project plans and propose solutions.

Assist in managing procurement processes, including ordering and tracking materials, and maintaining accurate records.

Support in the preparation of progress reports, including documentation of work completed, any delays, and proposed corrective actions.

Foster positive relationships with stakeholders, including clients, consultants, and local authorities, to facilitate effective project execution.

Requirements:

 

Previous experience in a similar role within the construction industry, preferably with a focus on high-specification residential or commercial projects.

Strong knowledge of construction methods, health and safety regulations, and building codes.

Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team.

Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office suite.

Relevant industry qualifications (e.g., SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid) are advantageous.
