Software Developer - £470p/d – OUTSIDE IR35 – 6 months – Hybrid/Edinburgh/Glasgow

Parity Group are delighted to partner with our client, a prestigious public sector organisation, who is looking to recruit a Software Developer on an initial 6-month contract basis. This role will be hybrid working, reporting onsite primarily in either Edinburgh or Glasgow.

You will receive a competitive daily rate of up to £470 and the contract will see you Outside IR35.

The successful candidate will provide hands-on technical leadership to an agile development team, the main responsibilities including:

• Lexical analysis of deed document content to assess automation risk for Standard Securities and Dispositions and of Title Sheet content to interpret unstructured textual content that will support automation of more complex casework.
• Automation of wet signature check using appropriate document analysis and AI ML techniques.
• Ensure high quality of developed solutions through development and maintenance of unit tests – with appropriate code coverage – and code analysis using code quality tools.
• Ensure that developed software complies with non-functional requirements, such as accessibility, security, UI/UX, performance, maintainability, deployability, etc...
• Troubleshoot development and production problems across multiple environments and operating platforms, from the AWS-based modern stack to the multiple strands of ETL and database (legacy and otherwise) that underpins the service.
• Routinely use collaborative development practices such as pairing and mobbing techniques in programming, code reviews, system design and requirements analysis/refinement, etc.

I would love to speak with you if you have a background in Software Development and have the skills and experience including:

• Significant commercial experience with OCR and lexical analysis techniques including NLP and ML
• AWS including: CDK, Serverless (Lambda), S3, API Gateway, Cloud Formation, Aurora/Postgres, Typescript / Python
• Ability to engage with stakeholders, understanding context and requirements, from diverse areas of a business including Product Management, Service Design, and Operations.
• Cloud monitoring, telemetry, intelligence tools and processes, including Grafana.
• Experience working in the Agile delivery models - such as Scrum and/or Kanban frameworks.
• Formal XP engineering techniques.
• AWS AI and OCR services such as Textract, Comprehend, Rekognition, SageMaker.
• Experience in Java 11+, OpenShift / Kubernetes / Docker
