Cabin Mechanic (BBBH16104) Prestwick, Scotland
An exciting opportunity is available with our client for a Cabin Mechanic.
Role: Cabin Mechanic
Salary: Upon application
Location: Prestwick
Shift Pattern: 5,5,4 (12 hour shifts)
Responsibilities:
- Be proficient in maintaining aircraft to the appropriate standard
- Responsible for planning and leading the work of cabin mechanics
- Being able to perform all maintenance tasks including but not limited to;
- Read and interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other specifications to determine the feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components
- Assemble and install electrical, plumbing, mechanical, hydraulic, and structural components and accessories, using hand tools and power tools
- Replace and replenish aircraft fluids, including fuel, oils and lubricants
- Prepare and paint aircraft surfaces
- Remove or install aircraft components
- Maintain repair logs, documenting all preventive and corrective aircraft maintenance
- Maintain, repair, and rebuild aircraft structures, functional components, and parts such as wings and fuselage, rigging, hydraulic units, oxygen systems, fuel systems, electrical systems, gaskets, and seals
- Communicate with other workers to coordinate fitting and alignment of heavy parts, or to facilitate processing of repair parts
- Inventory and requisition or order supplies, parts, materials, and equipment
- Any other duties as reasonable requested by Check Manager/ Shift Supervisor/Certifying Engineer
Essential Experience & Qualifications
- Hold and maintain a valid Company Aircraft Mechanic authorisation
- Experience as a Cabin Mechanic
- Experience reading and interpreting maintenance manuals and service bulletins.
- Housekeeping, ensuring work areas are kept clean and tidy as reasonably practicable
- Ad hoc project work as required within the scope of the role
