Our client, a leading manufacturer in the POS and Display Industry, is dedicated to producing high-quality components and products. They are seeking a skilled and motivated Punch & Laser Operator to join their dynamic team and contribute to their continued success.

 

We are looking for a talented Punch & Laser Operator who will be responsible for operating and maintaining punch and laser cutting machinery in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will ensure high-quality products are produced efficiently by setting up, programming, and troubleshooting machinery, while interpreting engineering drawings and technical information.

 

Shifts:

  • Monday - Friday | 08:00 - 16:30 

 

Pay:

  • £13 - £15 P/H

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Machine Operation:

    • Set up and operate Trumpf punch and laser cutting machines.
    • Set up and operate Bystronic laser cutting machines.
    • Monitor machinery during operation to ensure optimal performance.
    • Maintain detailed records of production and machine operation.

  • Quality Control:

    • Monitor the quality of parts produced to ensure they meet specifications.
    • Check and measure the accuracy of components.
    • Adhere to health and safety protocols.

  • Troubleshooting & Maintenance:

    • Maintain and troubleshoot punch and laser equipment.
    • Identify and resolve production issues promptly to minimize downtime.

 

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and set-up sheets.
  • Experience in setting up and operating punch and laser cutting machines.
  • Ability to check and measure the accuracy of components.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately.
  • Capability to work under tight deadlines.

 

Skills & Personal Traits:

  • Strong technical knowledge of punch and laser cutting machinery.
  • Familiarity with health and safety protocols.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Highly motivated with excellent hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
