Connect Appointments are recruiting reliable and organised individuals to join our Livingston based client, as Document Handlers, for an upcoming project.
The project will start the middle of April, lasting approximately 8-10 weeks (although may be extend) - please note that this project is based on-site.
As a Document Handler, you will be responsible for handling various confidential documents; therefore, for this role an employment background check must be undertaken for successful applicants to proceed.
Working as a Document Handler:
- Monday to Friday
- 06:00 to 14:00 OR 08:00 to 16:00 OR 14:00 to 22:00
- £10.90 to £12 per hour
As a Document Handler, you will be responsible for:
- Organising files and documents
- Preparing documents for scanning
- Safely storing and disposing of files
- Carefully following processes
- Ensuring confidentiality of information
- Using IT to assist with storing documents
To be successful within this Document Handler role, you will ideally be:
- Computer literate and able to utilise bespoke software packages
- Ability to understand, communicate, read and write the English language (anyone found to not meet these criteria will be rejected form the project)
- Ability to follow clear direction and instructions and cannot deviate from the process detailed by their Duty Manager/Team Lead
- There is a requirement for all candidates to perform manual handling tasks (typically this will involve lifting and moving boxes up to 20kg)
- Candidates should be available for Saturday work where required (the contractual working week will be Monday to Saturday) Saturday is not overtime
This role would be a good fit for individuals with previous office/admin experience and/or can demonstrate a good understanding of computer literacy. However, please note that this role is based on site in Livingston, West Lothian.
