Overhead Linesmen

Overhead Linesmen (17783990/002) Wakefield, England

Salary: Company Car

 

LV Overhead Linesman - £36,000 to £40,000 basic +(£47,000 - £55,000 including overtime), van, pension

Excellent opportunity to join a large electrical contracting business.

80 Overhead Linesmen are required to work within the YEDL/NEDL regions on an ESQC maintenance and repair contract on the 11kV-33kV distribution network.

Home based, you will adopt a flexible approach to work and may also take responsibility for a trainee depending on your seniority and experience level. It is preferred that linesmen are trained to LE1 / LE2 level although training can be provided.

PLEASE NOTE - This position is not suitable for transmission linesmen. Experience working with wooden poles is essential

Responsibilities:-

  • Install, build and refurbish overhead lines up to 33kV.
  • Liaise with third parties to ensure the smooth implementation of work.
  • Ensure that accidents and near misses are suitably reported.

Requirements:-

Essential

  • Experience working on wooden poles. Must be able to climb.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience

Desirable

  • Current or recent DNO authorisation up to 33kV & Live Line Working under Supervision, Polarity Training, Sub-Station Entry under Supervision.

Salary/Benefits

  • £36,000 - £40,000
