Bid and Tender Coordinator

Bid and Tender Coordinator (JH/BTEC1) Theale, England

Our Theale based client is currently recruiting for a Tender/Bid Coordinator role based in Theale.

The client is seeking a candidate with very strong IT skills mostly using Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Excel to an advanced level.

The Role

  • To provide support and co-ordination for the customer tender process, to include pricing analysis, creating submission documents and gathering relevant information and evidence to support our offer.
  • Responsible for the compilation and manipulation of spreadsheets and coordination of formal tender submissions
  • To assist in the reduction of redundant and slow moving stock in conjunction with the National Account team both custom printed and non-standard lines that is customer bespoke.
  • To assist in the reduction of aged debt in conjunction with the National Account Sector Manager
  • Ensure timely response to customer contact reporting, follow through of agreed actions that will link into the overall responsibility for central customer file maintenance
  • Responsible for the compilation and manipulation of spreadsheets and coordination of formal tender submissions for all sectors including restaurants
  • Maintaining profiles for all major trackers and portals, updating information as required
  • Completing PQQs and due diligence questionnaires, along with completing and submitting Tender Proposal documents (MS Word/Publisher) and PowerPoint presentations to deadline
  • Running named Business Objectives reports to identify low and negative margin by named account and to agree plans in conjunction with the Sector Manager and National Account Managers to address
  • Running reports and communicating findings on account performance internally and externally
  • Maintaining project databases and updating all stakeholders on status of project

The Person

 

  • Excellent project planning and organisational skills
  • Excellent knowledge of spreadsheets and coordination of formal tender submissions
  • Strong IT skills including Advanced Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Publisher.
  • Experience within bids/tenders highly desirable
  • The ability to present ideas assertively and persuasively
  • Good understanding of the Quality Management Systems
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a view to maintaining effective working relationships
  • UK driving license is desirable
