About the company:
Our client specialises in designing and manufacturing packaging solutions that use hot melt adhesives to seal and secure products, with over 40 years of expertise. Responsibilities:
- Assist in the fabrication, assembly, and installation of custom metal components for packaging systems.
- Read and interpret technical drawings to ensure accurate construction of machinery parts and packaging systems.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on packaging equipment, ensuring optimal performance and minimising downtime.
- Work with various metals and materials to manufacture parts for robotic and automated packaging machinery.
Requirements:
- Completion of the second year in an approved Engineering apprenticeship program.
- Basic proficiency in reading technical drawings and understanding mechanical systems.
- Strong interest in packaging and automation machinery.
- Good communication skills and a willingness to work in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Commitment to safety and a proactive approach to maintaining a safe work environment
What we’re looking for:
- Punctual, reliable, and energetic with a strong work ethic.
- Attention to detail, time management, work in a team, and ability to take direction.
- Excellent fabrication knowledge.
- Ability to perform physical tasks with a focus on safety.
- A valid driver's license and vehicle.
- White Card – or willing to obtain.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment Medical.
