Job Title – Process automation engineer

Salary - £38,000 - £42,000

I’m working closely with one of global food manufacturer, located in a beautiful town in north Wales, they’re recruiting a post graduate process automation engineer, if you ‘re someone that’s had a few years’ experience and is now looking for further development in a company that invest in their employees, don’t wait and apply NOW!

Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Provide Instrumentation support to site operations
• Fault diagnosis on site Automation system & associated components
• Fault finding on ASi, Ethernet and Profibus networks & devices
• Programming on PCS7, TIA Portal & Ignition.
• Commissioning of new and modifications of current equipment
• Develop and maintain best practice for the upkeep and maintenance of the software system
• Compile & Identify appropriate spares requirements to maintenance stores team
• Monitor and maintain the site process control hardware and software system
• Flag and identify obsolescent Hardware components
• Maintain & periodically review Automation records & databases

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

• HNC/HND Minimum qualification in Mechatronic/Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Wide range of knowledge in electronics and software programmes
• General PLC knowledge
• Knowledge of PID Control Loops
• Knowledge of SCADA desirable
• 2+ years’ experience in a similar role
