My client, an established Engineering & Manufacturing business are currently looking to recruit a Multi-Skilled (Electrically Biased) Maintenance Engineer to undertake Electrical & Mechanical maintenance on a range of specialist equipment, including Furnaces, injection moulding presses and shotblasting equipment.
This is a days-based role working Monday to Friday (07:30am – 16.03pm Mon-Thu & 07.30am – 12.30pm Fri)
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance, service and repair of all electrical and mechanical equipment on site, including electrical control panels, 3 phase electrics, control circuits, wax presses, shell room and furnace equipment
- Assist manufacturing/production team in achieving targets and optimising machine run times
- Prioritise maintenance requests and carry out planned, preventative maintenance effectively
- Understand and support plant improvement projects
- Liaise with contractors on site
- Support the training and development of apprentices
- Practice all safety and compliance requirements and encourage others to do so
Experience Requirements:
- The successful candidate will be a time-served engineer with an electrical bias and excellent mechanical maintenance capabilities
- Ideally you will be qualified to a minimum HNC standard and can demonstrate a good knowledge of 415V electrical skills
- Mechanical and Electrical fault-finding and repair skills
- Welding / Fabrication skills would be desirable
- PAT testing experience/qualification
- Experience of working in an Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing environment
