ONSHORE DRILLING MATERIALS COORDINATOR
Purpose:
The Project Materials Coordinator role will coordinate materials from requisition to delivery offshore and any related returns. The role will work with 3rd party vendors and service providers and will have significant involvement with the Inventory Facility, Receipt and Dispatch Facility, Onshore and Offshore Material Teams, Logistics/Quayside and the operations teams to prioritise and execute materials movements.
Accountabilities & End Results:
The post holder will coordinate and control all material movements to and from all Well Operations, Drilling and Intervention Operations in the UK in support of the Well Operations Group.
Primary Functions:
Act as Focal Point for all Material Movements to your assigned Offshore Drilling or Well Intervention Asset.
Coordinate the delivery of required materials to the quayside for transportation via sea, road or air as
instructed by the Offshore Drilling Materials Controller.
Arrange collection and delivery of all materials in line with Asset requirements Enforce compliance in all areas of Materials Management.
Monitor Supply Vessel bulk tank status and required/future bulk loadouts to ensure tanks are clear and ready for use. Update SAP rental status on all rented items and ensure items are off hired in a timely and costconscious manner.
Liaise with Material Controllers and Logistics.
Discuss priorities and resolve amicably to provide best solution for Company.
Ensure materials required for offshore can be picked from inventory and are identified and issued to the respective Network Orders.
Work with 3rd Party Vendors to ensure delivery and shipment of planned materials & equipment.
Act as gatekeeper for all Union Customs Code and Export Compliance requirement for your Asset.
Manage vessel loadlist ensuring materials are receipted, packed and shipped offshore in line with
Materials Management processes.
Obtain Cargo Summary Tickets and any authorisations prior to
mobilisation.
Identify and implement improvements required to existing processes and procedures within the Well
Operations Group in order to help move the UK Materials Management function towards functional
excellence.
Resolve invoice queries as and when required and carry out invoice verifications as instructed by UK
Finance:
Previous experience of logistics support to the offshore Oil and Gas industry
Comprehensive understanding of Materials & Logistics processes to include base/quayside, marine and aviation activities. Expediting knowledge and experience also advantageous.
Strong user of Excel and experience in SAP RLM/MM/PS modules
Good understanding of offshore construction projects and multi-location activities
Offshore experience and up to date certification desirable but nor essential
