We are recruiting for a new Catering Manager to start when School's return in January. As this is working in school a DBS check will be required so you must be willing to do this.
Hours of work:
40 hours per week
Monday to Friday 8 hours per day
Duties including but not limited to:
- You'll be responsible for the kitchen management which will include but not limited to: management of other staff, ordering, stock control and hygiene standards within the kitchen.
- Prepare, cook and serve school meals to children throughout their break and lunch time making sure to maintain good stock levels providing a choice for children throughout service.
- Been involved in the menu planning for the week ahead making sure to meet dietary requirements as well as providing choice to the pupils.
Experience:
- You must have kitchen or catering management experience from a similar setting
Qualifications and Skills
You will need to: -
- Have the ability to work under pressure as children only have a certain length of time to eat their food so speed of service has to be quick
- Hold food hygiene certifications
- Have the ability to hold answer questions on food hygiene/ food safety within the kitchen
- Have catering or kitchen management experience
- Effectively communicate with suppliers
