Overview:
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a well-established blind manufacturing company working with an ambitious team, earning £30,000 p/a plus performance bonus. The company is looking for an experienced, dedicated, Warehouse Supervisor to join the management team.
The Role:
We are looking to recruit a highly organised and experienced Warehouse Supervisor who will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day supervision of the production team. Our manufacturing business is based in Barnsley.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensuring the team deliver set performance targets, to the highest standard and in full compliance with all Health & Safety at Work legislation and Company policies and procedures. Drive operational efficiencies and Health and safety standards by implementing continuous improvement techniques.
- Hands on management of day-to-day production operations
- Ensure accurate stock management processes are adhered to.
- Ensure that all equipment checks are completed, and correct care and safe use of equipment is implemented and managed
- Undertake quality inspections, follow up on production errors provide feedback and training.
- Adhere to Health and Safety policy, ensuring safe working practices are followed at all times, including for machinery and equipment.
- Overall supervisory responsibility for the production team including training, absence management and time management of staff, in line with HR policies.
- Implement training plans to ensure cross delivery of production across the teams.
- Performance management – set and manage productivity output targets for the team, review and manage these accordingly.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 3 years relevant supervisory experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to tight deadlines.
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Full understanding of stock management and system maintenance
