Stafforce are looking for an experienced Technician to set up, maintain, and repair a range of textile machinery to ensure maximum production efficiency. The role may also require working on winding/twisting machines as needed. Full training will be provided, but hands-on experience is essential.

What to expect:

·        Maintain and repair machines according to the planned and preventative maintenance schedule

·        Monitor, manage, and reduce machine downtime as necessary

·        Respond proactively and promptly to machine breakdowns to minimise production impact

·        Diagnose and resolve faults, machine emergencies, or unplanned problems systematically and logically

·        Contribute to the development of planned and preventative maintenance schedules

·        Complete work records for all maintenance activities

·        Work as part of a project team on the installation of new machinery

·        Report all safety and maintenance issues to the Managers

What we need:

·        Practical engineering experience with mechanical production machinery and equipment

·        Qualified or time-served apprenticeship, preferably in a mechanical-related background (not essential)

·        Ability to recognize, diagnose, and correct faults on a range of machinery and equipment

·        Technical competence to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings

·        Manual dexterity to perform all maintenance activities

·        Tenacity to work through problems to final completion and correction

·        Composure to react positively in difficult or emergency breakdown scenarios

·        Experience working with pneumatic equipment is a bonus but not essential
