Are you a well-rounded engineer? This could be the perfect opportunity for you. I am working with a family owned business based in the Pontypool who have recently won a lot of new contracts and have ordered a lot of new machinery to be installed into the production area. This role will be well suited to a candidate who has a mixed skillset of solving issues within production, maintenance of machinery, health and safety and project management. This role is a days based role and would be perfect for an engineer looking to get off shifts.

Job Description

• To provide safe, high standard, and efficient maintenance support to the production function.
• Reduce the cost of internal remakes and improve production efficiency through delivery of an optimum proactive machinery maintenance program.
• Day to day procurement and management of machinery and facilities spares inventory.
• Assist with movement, installation and repositioning of machinery assets as required.
• Record and report proactive health and safety concerns, managing concerns immediately where possible to reduce near miss and potential accidents.

Requirements

• NVQ Level three – Electrically biased and multiskilled ideally.
• Experience in use of lean management processes
• Excellent mechanical, electrical and pneumatic fault finding experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment
• An appreciation of project management
• Knowledge of Engineering manuals, drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams
• Appreciation of planned preventative maintenance schedules
