Are you an experienced Database Administrator looking for an exciting new challenge? I have a brand new opporutnity’s too join dynamic team and play a key role in ensuring the performance, availability, and scalability of their Core Platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the investigation and resolution of issues with corporate application databases.
  • Monitor, optimize, and maintain application databases across development, QA, and production environments, ensuring high performance and adherence to SLAs.
  • Manage database installations and configurations, assist with capacity planning, and optimize performance.
  • Implement and maintain SQL High Availability (HA) functionality, including multi-subnet Always On Availability Groups in Azure.
  • Support vendor management and license compliance.
  • Participate in DBA tasks such as upgrades, installations, backup and recovery, tuning, and day-to-day database support.
  • Collaborate with developers and business units to ensure alignment of database design with business needs and new initiatives.
  • Drive improvements in database processes, procedures, and service delivery.
  • Continuously upgrade your skills, staying current with emerging database technologies, including relational and NoSQL platforms.
  • Assist developers with code optimization, focusing on performance, scalability, and usability.
  • Automate repetitive tasks using T-SQL, PowerShell, Azure Functions, or KQL.
  • Work on new data projects and provide database architecture expertise both on-premises and in the cloud.

Qualifications:

  • IT Engineering degree or equivalent.
  • Experience with SQL Server, Azure SQL, BI Platform.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MySQL is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Database Administrator, especially with Microsoft SQL Server and high availability technologies in Azure.
  • Expertise in database architecture, SQL internals, automation programming (PowerShell or equivalent), and SQL debugging.
  • Strong knowledge of database storage platforms and Windows OS.
  • Experience in SQL performance tuning, query optimization, and managing complex integration environments.
  • Ability to work independently on projects, including estimating timelines, assigning tasks, and tracking progress.
  • Flexible to participate in on-call and after-hours shifts as required.
