cmr | Cornerstone Medical Recruitment is proud to partner with a multidisciplinary client with private practices located in various locations across Queensland. We are looking for registered Psychologists dedicated to working with children and adolescents.

The Role:

We currently have opportunities for General or Clinical Psychologists to join our client’s team on a full-time or part-time basis. Positions are available in the Toowoomba, Caboolture, and Hervey Bay clinics, where you will provide your expertise and services to the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Comprehensive Mental Health Services: Provide assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management services to clients within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.
  • Individualised Intervention Plans: Conduct Psychology assessments and develop tailored intervention plans, ensuring they meet regulatory standards and align with best practices.
  • Holistic Assessment: Identify barriers and challenges to participation, using various assessment tools, including standardised measures when appropriate.
  • Therapeutic Support: Offer one-to-one sessions and lead group programmes to provide psychological treatment and counselling to support client well-being.

About You:

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Education & Registration: Tertiary qualifications in Psychology and full registration with APS and AHPRA, meeting independent practice requirements.
  • Advanced Clinical Skills: Demonstrated experience in psychological testing and assessments across diverse presentations.
  • Assessment Tools Proficiency: Knowledge of evidence-based psychometric tools and the ability to facilitate psycho-educational and therapeutic group programmes for individuals and families.
  • Certifications: Current First Aid and CPR (self-maintained).
  • Cultural Competence: Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Licensing & Checks: Queensland Driver’s Licence, Working with Children Blue Card, and NDIS Worker Screening Check (self-maintained).
  • Professional Qualities: Social perceptiveness, empathy, resilience, and the ability to assess complex situations accurately.
