Mental Health Clinician - Acute Care

Location: Roma, Queensland

Employment Type: Fixed-Term Full-time contract until June 2027

Salary: $3,319.70 - $4,453.50 per fortnight

About the Role

As a Mental Health Acute Care Clinician (HP3), you will:

• Deliver evidence-based mental health care, including triage, risk assessment, and safety planning.
• Support crisis presentations across various locations.
• Provide crisis management and care coordination for consumers, liaising with families and facilitating psychiatry consultations when needed.
• Work collaboratively with Emergency Department and inpatient unit staff to ensure timely mental health assessments.

About You

We’re looking for someone who has:

• Valid registration/membership with the appropriate registration authority or association.
• A Queensland ‘C’ class driver’s license to operate a government vehicle.
• Willingness to participate in weekend, public holiday, and after-hours rosters.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Proven time management and problem-solving skills to adapt to changing priorities.
