Are you an experienced Account Manager searching for a fresh and rewarding challenge?
Our well established client are looking for an Account Manager, due to continued growth they have an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and award-winning family business. As they continue to expand, they are looking for someone to build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with a key customer, while also supporting other clients when needed. This role will involve managing existing accounts, ensuring excellent service, and identifying opportunities for further growth and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key customers to support long-term partnerships.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver exceptional customer service, adapting products and services to align with customer needs and business goals.
- Conduct regular in-person meetings with customers to foster communication and trust.
- Lead annual strategy sessions with key clients to outline goals and plans.
- Identify and pursue both short- and long-term opportunities to drive growth and maximise sales potential.
- Develop and implement tailored account plans for each customer.
- Deliver precise monthly forecasts on sales volume and value by product and work closely with the Supply Chain team to address specific requests.
- Analyse account EPOS data weekly to identify action points and areas for improvement.
- Align closely with stakeholders to optimise costs and ensure the business strategy is effectively executed.
- Manage trading terms and implement price changes in line with company contracts.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records, including contract updates and renewals.
- Support the Sales Director with the preparation of annual budgets.
Your Skills and Experience:
- Experience of negotiating with customers and demonstrating excellent written and verbal communication skills at all levels
- Strong, enthusiastic collaborator who is focused on achieving the best outcomes for the business
- Demonstrates ownership and responsibility for full achievement of all objectives with integrity and respect
- Competent in Excel and efficient in using PowerPoint and Microsoft Teams.
- Numerate and analytical skills
- Good critical thinking skills
- Ideally FMCG experience
- Self-motivating and flexible
- Effective in their approach and delivery
- Extensive experience handling key retail accounts and driving business growth
