Court of Protection Solicitor

Chadwick Nott are inviting applications from experienced and driven Solicitors or Associates with a minimum 2+ years PQE to join a distinguished Court of Protection team within the Private Client division at a Top 100 law firm.

This role is to be based in their Bristol office based in the city centre with a blend of flexible home working available.

As a key member of the team, you can expect to handle a diverse range of Court of Protection cases, focusing on your own caseload with appropriate support. Working for wide client portfolio, your duties will encompass:

• Handling Court of Protection health and welfare disputes
• Addressing disputes related to an individual's capacity for decision-making
• Managing appeals against Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards
• Facilitating applications to appoint or remove deputies and attorneys
• Advising on healthcare and community care issues

You will work closely with colleagues across the firm’s Private Client team to ensure optimal outcomes for our clients. Candidates are expected to bring some experience in Court of Protection work and a commitment to professional growth in a supportive environment. The successful candidate can expect to manage complex, high-quality, and high-value work, and granting significant responsibility from the beginning.

To be considered for this exceptional role, you will have demonstrated experience in a reputable Court of Protection team with exceptional communication skills. Attention to detail, the ability to prioritise work and work to deadlines are also key.
