About the Company:
We are delighted to be partnering with one of Victoria’s leading governmental organisations in order to provide them with an outstanding payroll specialist. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to join a tight-knit team, and directly support Victoria’s frontline workers.
About the Role:
- Prepare payroll information including salary disbursement, allowances, overpayment recovery, leave management for data input and reviewing
- Control and maintenance of records to ensure accuracy, service quality and data integrity within strict timeframes
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to resolve payroll enquiries
- Ensure compliance with relevant industrial instruments, enterprise agreements, awards, tax, super, financial and accounting standards
- Contribute to specialised projects, process improvement, payroll reform activities
- Conduct audits as required and assist in identifying payroll errors and implementing corrective action where required to mitigate risk and exposure to ensure employee payments are processed accurately and payroll data integrity is maintained
Skills and Experience
- Previous payroll experience in a similar end to end role is essential.
- Exposure to high-volume payroll system, preferably using SAP.
- Experience with large payroll systems is desired.
- An in depth understanding of payroll legislation and processes.
- Exceptional communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to deal with high pressure and work to tight deadlines whilst working independently.
