Powerplant Manager (BBBH13608) Spain
My European airline client is growing at a fast rate and is now seeking a Powerplant Manager in Spain.
This role would suit someone who is keen to join a vibrant and multi-cultural team, in a challenging and high growth environment.
The role reports to the airline Technical Director.
Main Powerplant Manager responsibilities:
- Oversee and control the airline’s engine fleet
- Develop & oversee Engine Change Plan in conjunction with CAMO
- Supervise engines work scope from shop, and perform Engine shop visit follow ups
- Manage Engine Shop costs and cost projections
- Deal with aircraft lessors to manage the airline’s obligations
- Ensure sufficient spare engines availability as the fleet grows
- Provide immediate assistance, advice & technical support to the Technical Director, Maintenance Manager & MCC
- Help analyse the effectiveness of the maintenance programme
- Ensure that the applied mods or repairs have been approved in accordance with Annex (Part21) to Regulation (EC) No 1194/2009
- Issue of engineering orders & bulletins
- Support the preparation of end of lease phase out & until aircraft phase in is complete
- Ensure the aircraft are compliant and that financial exposure is minimised and managed accordingly
Ideal candidate profile:
- Master’s degree in Aircraft Engineering or equivalent
- 5 years’ experience working in an engineering CAMO environment
- EASA Part 66 Cat C or B1 license holder desirable
- A320 experience, Level 3 course desirable
- CFM training
- Experience in working with Airbus manuals & data sources
- Good knowledge of EASA regulations
- Fluency in English is essential
- Previous experience within an EASA-OPS approved organisation, plus familiarity with EASA Part M requirements
- Experience in dealing with AESA and EASA on airworthiness matters
- Methodical, service-oriented with an analytic mind
- Attentive to detail without losing sight of the whole airline operation picture
- Able to work under pressure
