Seeking a Component Inspector on a contract basis for my Newbridge, Edinburgh based manufacturing client.

**Candidates MUST HAVE Mitutoyo CMM experience to be considered **

Role:                      Component Inspector (Contract)
Location:                Newbridge, Edinburgh, EH28
Shift:                     Mon-Fri. 8.25am -5.05pm with some flexibility.
Pay rate:                £16 - £17 per hour PAYE only. Plus holiday pay in addition.
Vetting:                  Referencing & clear drug screen required.
                              Applicants must already hold the rights to live & work in the UK

Main Responsibilities:

• Performs quality control inspections, checks, and tests during the different stages of product manufacture of products.
• Inspection of metalwork and components parts used in Microwave Communications Equipment.
• Performs quality control inspections for incoming and outgoing parts.
• Records observations and may make recommendations for improving processes.
• Controls non-conformances, liaising with the production line for problem solving on issues identified.
• Takes measurements using Mitutoyo CMM and other traditional measurement methods, along with visual checks on products.

Ideal candidate profile:

• Previous inspection experience essential.
• Must have Mitutoyo CMM (Coordinate measuring machine) experience
• SAP knowledge is an advantage
• Fluency in written & spoken English
