Salary: GBP29.73 - GBP29.73 per hour

My client has a fantastic opportunity for a highly motivated and ambitious Aircraft Fitter to join them on a contract basis. The role will be working in a challenging, fast-paced and rewarding environment!

Role: Aircraft Fitter
Location: Brize Norton, Oxfordshire
Hours: 5,5,4 rotating shift pattern 07:00-19:00
Salary: £29.73 p/hr umbrella,
             £26.66 p/hr deemed,
             £23.24 p/hr via PAYE + holiday pay of £2.81 per hour, or annual leave accrual                

 

Essential Job Function:

  • Maintenance, Repairs and Modifications to the aircraft
  • Accurately navigate and interpret aircraft maintenance documentation
  • Carrying out aircraft modifications

 

Responsibilities:  

  • Compliance with the organisational policies and procedures
  • Identifying and rectifying existing and potential unsafe conditions
  • Maintaining the work environment in a clean and safe manner using a “clean as you go” approach
  • Complying with company Safety Management System (SMS) occurrence reporting procedures
  • Complying with the safety policy
  • Complete aircraft paperwork to a high standard
  • An awareness of COSHH, Working at height and Manual handling safety requirements
  • Actively embrace a Continuous Improvement (CI) culture

 

 

Essential Requirements:

  • Must hold a value aircraft standards-based qualification (Apprenticeship/NVQ level 3) or aircraft related academic qualification/traineeship with a minimum of 3 years recorded experience
  • Current Human Factor initial and refresher, EWIS an SFAR 88 certificate
  • Knowledge of aeronautical regulations
  • Must have the right to live and work in the United Kingdom
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal
  • Be able to successfully complete security clearance

 

Desirable Requirements:

  • Experience on A400M, Propeller or Wide body Aircraft
  • Previous exposure to AirNav and Amos
  • Knowledge of MAA MRP Part 145 regulations
  • Proven ability to work as part of a team
  • Be able to work on own initiative and demonstrate leadership skills
  • IPAF/MEWPS familiarisation
