What you will be doing

You will join a team that works well together to provide care to Female Services Adults (18YRS. +) / Medium & Low Secure Mental Health/ PICU (Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit); supporting people to lead a valued and fulfilled life.

It can be quite a challenging environment at times, so a positive attitude, compassion, resilience and vigilance are important. But it is hugely rewarding to see people improve; being able to do something today that they couldn’t do last week because of you.

Where you will be working

Location: Townfield Lane, Winwick, Warrington, Cheshire, WA2 8TR

Services provided include Medium, Low Secure and Psychiatric Intensive Care PICU) for women, over the age of 18, with Personality Disorder and Mental Illness.

The site is very spacious with extensive patient living and activity areas as well as external grounds.

The treatment approach at Arbury Court which is rehabilitation and recovery dictates that care is ‘person-centred’ as opposed to ‘disease-centred’. A fantastic achievement by the team at Arbury Court was the ‘Outstanding’ award in the 2016 CQC report.

At Arbury Court, we provide:

• 27 medium secure beds (Delamere and Oakmere wards)
• 44 low secure beds (Appleton, Cinnamon and Heathfield wards)

• 11 PICU beds (Primrose Ward)

You will work 12 hours days, three days a week, with the occasional night shift. Though with 4 days off to rest and catch up on life, it provides a great work/life balance.
