Salary: GBP38000 - GBP43000 per annum + + excellent wider benefits

MRD Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting a Warehouse Shift Manager (Nights), based in Uddingston on behalf of our leading Logistics client. The successful Warehouse Shift Manager (Nights), based in Uddingston will report directly into the Warehouse Manager.

The successful Warehouse Shift Manager (Nights), based in Uddingston, will be responsible for a small warehouse team and will champion efficiency, safety and quality. This role will operate on nightshifts.

Key Responsibilities for the Warehouse Shift Manager (Nights) based in Uddingston:

  • Delivering the daily plan through effectively managing productivity levels and achieving forecasted targets against the budget. Maintaining budgeted costs and planning shift resources to the forecasted volumes to achieve the agreed service levels.
  • Taking ownership in the delivery of your shift plans updating senior management regularly on progress. Supporting the General Manager to develop a plan in line with forecasted volumes.
  • Achieving high performance across all Warehouse areas through adhering to standards. Promoting and driving consistency to ensure compliance and standards of quality, service, safety, and security are always met.
  • Ensuring productivity levels are maximised through managing resource requirements closely to achieve this. Actively minimising indirect costs and understanding the impact these costs have on the operation.
  • Monitoring quality and highlighting continuous improvement solutions in relation to the operation and compliance and ensuring the Team are briefed on changes and trained to achieve targets.
  • Adhering to the legal requirements of the O licence and work closely with the Transport Manager to ensure safe and legal practices are prioritised.
  • All H&S matters including safe loading, hygiene, quality audits, risk assessments and safe systems of work on your shift. Being present on the floor to ensure all colleagues have the correct level of understanding and best practice is being followed.
  • Leading your team through setting high standards in all people aspects. Such as Recruitment & Onboarding, Induction, Attrition, Sickness & Absence, Employee Relations, Development and Recognition.

 

Key Education/Qualifications for the Warehouse Shift Manager (Nights) based in Uddingston:

  • Full Driving License
  • Good Maths and English skills written and verbal.
  • PC literate
  • IOSH Qualified
  • Experience in working with a large team of diverse colleagues.
  • Good knowledge and experience in operational processes.
  • Experience of working in a fast paced, performance driven business with key focuses on delivering budgets, KPIs and SLAs.
  • Experience working to O License regulations or willing to be trained.
