Supply Chain Planner (BBBH256) Kilwinning, Scotland

Salary: GBP35000 - GBP38000 per annum + + excellent wider benefits

MRD Recruitment is hiring a Planner for our manufacturing client, based in Kilwinning. The Planner will report into the Planning Manager. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, people centric Planner based in Kilwinning, to join an energetic team within a global business.

As a Planner based in Kilwinning, you will play a crucial role in creating and altering production schedules, working with key stakeholders within the business. My manufacturing client, based in Kilwinning is looking for a Planner, who is passionate about planning production operations and can be reactive to changes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To ensure all activities within your area of control are undertaken in full compliance with H&SE legislation and Company procedures and policies and to report any unsafe acts or unsafe conditions observed in accordance with your responsibilities under the Health and Safety at Work Act.
  • Create and maintain business production plans based upon customer sales demand and product development requirements using the company’s ERP system.
  • Create, schedule and update work orders accordingly to support production plan.
  • Ensure materials are available to support production plans and highlight any issues which may impact on the timely completion of the plan.
  • Review and agree/accept new sales orders/project requirements based upon material, plant, and resource availability.
  • Liaise and communicate with Supplier Management, Customer services, Stores/Logistics, Manufacturing, and all other relevant stakeholders to ensure all business requirements are captured in the production plan.
  • Monitor and highlight variation to the manufacturing plans and initiate and progress corrective actions.
  • Manage finished goods inventory in line with stocking policies, identifying any sales that are at risk of being delivered late.
  • Highlight any risk to the production plan/customer orders/project requirements associated with material, resource, or plant shortfall.
  • Input and maintain planning information within the company’s ERP System,
  • Highlight demand and capacity imbalances which are not resolvable within the standard capacity offered and ensure that the Planning Manager and Production Manager are aware.
  • Update all KPIs on a daily /weekly/monthly basis as required.
  • Continually seek out opportunities for improvement within operations to deliver improved business results and elimination of financial waste within the business.
