MRD Recruitment is working on behalf of a plant and site equipment provider, who are recruiting a Hire Manager, based in Falkirk. The Hire Manager reporting into the Operations Director will manage their expanding range of products.
The successful candidate, based in Falkirk will have a planning and analytical mindset, with a track record of working to budget. My client is looking for someone who is passionate about plant and site asset management and developing strong long-lasting stakeholder relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a safe working environment to ensure compliance with all safety rules. Improve and sustain housekeeping, perform risk assessments and support with continuous improvement activities.
- Monitoring of all hires ensuring good quality products are available and delivered within the required timescales and in line with company targets. Damage control of returned products ensuring all damages are captured, repaired, and reported via the correct process and charged-out to the customer.
- Working closely with the Operations Manager to review performance against budget targets and Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and initiate remedial action to correct adverse variances and enhance income.
- Ensure all products are delivered on-time and in full. Plan workloads effectively and provide direction for all colleagues. Ensure all stock requirements are met in conjunction with the Operations and Transport Team supporting the wider depot network with stock solutions where possible.
- Lead, develop and manage the team. Challenge poor behaviour in the right way and provide regular performance feedback to the team. Maintain a positive work environment by behaving and communicating in a professional manner.
- Support with stock control.
- Daily liaison with the Hire Desk & Service team to provide commercially led business solutions and deliver world class customer service levels.
- Identify operational issues and offer support and solutions within own depot and across the business.
- Support the Operations Manager to develop the implementation of new processes and projects within the overall business.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
- Demonstratable experience within a management role
- Knowledge of relevant Health and Safety practices
- Ability to work to KPI’s.
