This position involves evaluating and analyzing donation applications, as well as identifying and developing innovative initiatives to address social issues and fulfil the needs of the community.

 

Reporting to the head of the department and engaging with multi stakeholders, this incumbent is expected to:

  • Conduct comprehensive reviews and analyses of funding applications, providing recommendations to ensure compliance with policies, guidelines, and alignment with community needs.
  • Foster innovative collaborations with diverse organizations, institutions, and groups to effectively address a wide range of community needs.
  • Develop appropriate grantee conditions, monitor fund utilization, manage budget adjustments, and compile reports on financial, statistical, and project progress to provide insightful recommendations.
  • Ensure adherence to schedules, committed outcomes, original scope, and allocated budget for successful project implementation.
  • Actively participate in project-related activities, stakeholder engagement, and drive the development of impactful new projects.

 

Successful candidates should possess:

  • Bachelor’s degree with over 10 years of professional experience of which over 5 years’ managerial experience, exposures in NGOs, Government and social service settings are preferrable.
  • Demonstrated success in effectively engaging with diverse stakeholders in philanthropic endeavors within the specific context of Hong Kong.
  • Agile, strategic, and analytical, along with excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin) and English is a must.
