Salary: GBP16130 - GBP19317 per month + Competitive tax free salary

Our client is looking for an Emergency Medicine Consultant who will be responsible for treating patients with life-threatening illnesses, establishing effective patient care plans, and referring patients to the appropriate specialists. The incumbent shall be highly trained with proven experience working in an emergency room or urgent care setting.

The facility is also equipped with the Da Vinci and Artis pheno robotic equipment which is more precise and enables quicker surgery and with fewer complications resulting in a faster recovery.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Assessing patients who enter the emergency room immediately and overseeing emergency recovery. Conducting follow-up visits to monitor the patient’s condition.
  • Requesting the appropriate medical tests and based on them, following a treatment plan.
  • Developing effective patient care plans.
  • Referring patients to appropriate specialists.
  • Ensuring that patients are stable before transferring them to the proper department for further evaluation. Providing instructions for discharge and any relevant paperwork.
  • Maintaining patients' medical records.
  • Coordinating with different ER departments to ensure patients receive the necessary treatment.
  • Actively participate in the planning and implementation of the department development plans and the different manpower training programs for the medical, technical and nursing staff in his/her area of expertise.
  • Participates in the various committees for the upgrading of services and organization of work within and outside the hospital.
  • Participates in scheduling of on-call duties and provides on-call services.
  • Participates in the assessment and updating of drug, medical supply and equipment needs. Participates in research activities.
  • Performs special procedures as privileged.
  • Adheres to policies, guidelines, plans and programs of the organization.
  • Performs other duties as assigned/directed by the Head of the department.

 

Education requirements:

  • Graduate degree in Emergency medicine like MBBS, MBBCh (Essential), or relevant degree with speciality degree/ fellowship in Emergency Medicine
  • Western Board certified in Cardiology and eligible for Consultant License in the State of Qatar as per MoPH criteria (Essential) at least 12 months duration from one of the Category 1 Western countries.
  • US Board/CCT in Cardiology or equivalent specialist training certificate (Category 1).

 

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a full time Consultant Cardiologist position, with a minimum of 1 year experience in a government, semi- government, or a teaching hospital.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in GCC (preferred).
  • Preferably Arabic speaking candidates.

  • Education Allowance: Covers two children under the employee's sponsorship, aged 4-18 years, residing in Qatar. The allowance is 20,000 QAR per child per year.
