Join a leader in the Australian professional services space in a newly created Senior Security Engineering position. The role is newly created along other new positions not only in the cyber but also wider technology team. This position has a broader focus on driving security projects, collaborating across business units, and enhancing security practices.
About the role:
- Lead and maintain technical security systems within the Cyber Security Team and drive key projects, working cross-functionally and with vendors to oversee security operations, including alert management, incident response, and vulnerability management.
- Develop and maintain security procedures aligned with the NIST framework.
- Create and update security response playbooks for timely incident handling.
- Conduct security monitoring, vulnerability assessments, and forensic log analysis and keep external SOC accountable.
About you:
- Minimum of 3-4 years of broad security engineering experience, coupled with a background in e.g. system engineering.
- Broad security engineering skills across secure Gateways, PAM, Endpoint Security, Email Gateways, and MDR Solutions.
- Proficiency with the NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
- Strong understanding of cloud security, preferably Azure.
- Security certifications like CISSP, CCSP, or GCIH are a plus.
