Salary: | AUD750 - AUD850 per day |
- 6-month daily rate contract
- $750-$850 per day including superannuation.
- Hybrid working - 2 days on site (Melbourne western suburbs)
A project focused role for a Senior Network Engineer within State Government.
In this role you will be responsible for taking the lead on critical projects, acting as a mentor to junior engineers as a tech lead, and coordinating with suppliers. To be successful in this role, you will need extensive experience working with Cisco technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Lead network-related projects.
- Design and implement secure, fit-for-purpose network solutions, adhering to industry best practices and security frameworks.
- Provide Level 3+ network support, managing data, internet, WAN, and SD-WAN links, and core switching and routing, including cloud-based networking.
- Develop and implement network security measures, managing firewalls, access management, and micro-segmentation solutions.
- Collaborate with security and architecture teams, and engage with external vendors to ensure robust network infrastructure.
About you:
- Proven knowledge of Cisco and Fortinet infrastructure.
- Cisco CCNP certification or equivalent is essential.
- Proficiency in cloud networking and security technologies (Microsoft Azure).
- Strong understanding of OT networks, IOT, and network access management solutions.
- Experience with Operational Technology (OT) networks, and water utilities is highly desirable.
- Expertise in IP and DNS management, and software-defined networking and edge solutions.
- Highly experienced with Fortinet Firewalls and relevant systems including SD-WAN, VPN and FortiAnalyzer.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive approach to maintaining network security and compliance.
