Stafforce is seeking for an Engineering Administrator to join our client, PPG, which is a world-class company, supporting the most prestigious automotive brands in the world.

Working days: Monday to Friday (usual office hours, 37.5 hours)

Pay: £15.50

 

JOB FUNCTION

 

As part of the Engineering Support function, provide administration service and support to the Engineering Co-Ordination Manager and the wider Engineering Team.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

1.     The Engineering Administrator supports the Engineering Co-Ordination Manager in the fulfilment of their role.

2.     Day to day support for the on-site training program, to include, running reports on training compliance, notifying managers and personnel on training requirements, setting up new employees on the training system and removing employees as they leave the business.

3.     Engineering Meetings

  • Take minutes of engineering meetings and circulate to participants.
  • Log agreed actions and maintaining the action log.
  • Communicate with team members for progress on action points
  • Ability to present minutes to the meeting

4.     Collate data for MOC and GS2 reporting and issue reports as required.

5.     Provide reports using the Q Pulse / CMMS system and circulate as required.

6.     Maintain holiday spreadsheet for the Engineering Team and update outstanding holiday balances.

7.     General scanning and filing.

8.     Provide presentation slides for meetings.

9.     Update T&A system as required.

10.  Process Timesheets as required.

11.  Collate and circulate various engineering data to the engineering team.

12.  Maintain various registers, including Hose register, LOLER, general inspection reports and other asset lists as required.

13.  Assist in maintaining the contractor register, including contacting Contractors to update safety data.

14.  Carry out contractor inductions as required.

15.  As an active member of the Engineering Team, involvement with other areas of engineering for the site may be required.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 

·       Flexibility in regard to working hours is required as there may be the need for extended hours working dependent on priorities.

·       Good computer skills including, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

·       Strong communication skills

·       Ability to record clear and accurate meeting minutes.

·       Good attention to detail.

·       Confident to speak in a meeting environment to present minutes and action points.

·       Ability to communicate with all levels management.

·       Experience of working within an engineering environment desirable but not essential.
