Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting for a Manu Tāiko - Associate Director, International Recruitment to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis. This is a key strategic role leading and driving immediate and sustained growth in student enrolment/acquisition.
Key responsibilities:
- Leading a team responsible for international student recruitment including agent relationships, institutional partnership development and recruitment, governmental and external agency relationships.
- Developing and implementing market plans to achieve regional and annual student recruitment targets.
- Ensuring that the appropriate outcomes related to the areas of responsibility meet the Education (Pastoral Care of Tertiary and International Learners) Code of Practice 2021.
International travel is required for the role.

- Possess deep knowledge of the international education industry and experience in working successfully with diverse groups including academic and professional staff.
- Have proven expertise in international student recruitment operations, implementing marketing and recruitment plans with a strong sales ethos.
- Demonstrate success in setting and achieving enrolment targets.
- Have strong experience in leading and managing high performing, multi-disciplinary teams.
- Be a strategic thinker, able to develop and implement complex operational plans.
- Be able to set and manage budgets.
- Possess a high level of EQ and be able to engage at all levels with passion, clarity, and confidence.
