Exchange Adapter C# Developer

 

Our client, a leading global supplier for IT services requires an Exchange Adapter C# Developer based at their client’s offices in London.

 

This is a hybrid role. You may work remotely in the UK and attend the offices in London 1-2 times per week.

 

This is a 3-month temporary contract (with a view to extending) to start ASAP.

 

Day rate: Competitive market rate

 

We are looking for an Exchange Adapter C# Developer with strong experience in modern C++ development, version 17 or higher and ideally professional experience in finance, trading, automated execution systems, or financial services.

 

Software Engineering plays a vital role in the whole of the Trading and Supply portfolio, supporting activity across IT and technology customers and the client’s overall digital trading strategy. Working in the client’s Systematic Trading team, the individual will be working closely with other developers, traders, and quants to build and scale core systematic trading connectivity across multiple exchanges, markets, and regions. It includes analyzing complex business and technical problems and make informed technical decisions as well as providing timely trading system support and monitoring, as required

           

Although the overall program is a large team, the members working in this specific part of the program are few and so is ideal for someone looking to show their capabilities and work closely with a high performing team.

 

 

Key Responsibilities/Key Skills

 

Specific Software Skills are:

  • C++
  • Linux/UNIX terminal and shell scripting
  • Experience with at least one scripting language, ideally Python

 

  Experience:

  • Strong experience in modern C++ development, version 17 or higher
  • Experienced in breaking down work in Jira/ADO
  • Familiarity with common software engineering design patterns
  • Clearly able to demonstrate and report on progress in delivering code
  • Experience developing multithreaded applications
  • Knowledge of Limit Order Book, exchange connectivity (FIX), and order management paradigms
  • Professional experience in finance, trading, automated execution systems, or financial services is a plus
  • An undergraduate degree in Computer Science or related discipline,
