About the Role:

Skillforce Recruitment have a new Opportunity for Boilermakers to secure possible ongoing work Fly in Fly out from Brisbane to Papua New Guinea in late January.

The Scope of Works will involve Undertaking Maintenance on various fixed plant equipment at a PNG mine site.

Skills, Experience & Requirements:

  • Relevant Boilermaker Trade Certificate (Australian Recognised)
  • On-site Fixed Plant Maintenance Experience
  • Previous Leadership positions - Leading hands/ supervisors
  • Valid Passport 
  • Clear Police Clearance 
  • Working Safely at Heights & Confined Space tickets
  • High Risk Work Safe Licences an Advantage 
  • Ability to pass Drug & Alcohol Screening
  • Ability to pass Employment Medical
  • Unrestricted Australian work rights
  • Commence Late January

Work Environment:

  • Usually 27-35 Degrees Celsius
  • 3 meters of rainfall annually which can get up to 100% humidity
  • All utilities and services such as clean water, power etc. are provided by the mine site itself
  • Majority of the work is carried out by local workers under the direction of the mine site and service providers, some workers may be trades person while some may have limited knowledge and English so supervision and training is important

Fixed Plant Equipment Maintenance on:

  • Crushers
  • Jaw crushers
  • MMD sizers and a gyro rotary
  • Apron feeders
  • Grizzly Screens
  • Chute and hopper repairs
  • Rock breakers
