This is a great opportunity to join a successful High-End Australian manufacturing business in the Blackburn area. This well-established company has a stable, solid history and reputation in High-End and Handmade Timber Products.

This business has a great team attitude from the top down. It is an excellent opportunity. This is a new position that will involve various tasks. You must be flexible with your skills and willing to move around to keep up with demand and assist the team.

Essentially, the role is to lead a small team of CNC/multi-cam operators that utilise 3 x Biesse’s (including a five-axis), 2 Multi-cams, and a Laser cutter.

The Key tasks and duties will include;

• Loading and running the CNC Machines
• Maintaining the CNC schedule. Ensure table times are accurately accounted for and components are delivered on time and fit for purpose.
• Scheduling and documenting the maintenance of all machines to ensure all CNCs, multi-cams, and laser cutters are safe and fully operational.
• Liaising with Biesse, multi-cam, and tooling companies to facilitate the upkeep and or development of the machines, cutters, and software upgrades.
• Performing raw material and component quality audits to ensure parts are within tolerance and waste is accurately accounted for, including non-conforming materials and damaged parts (scrap reporting)
• Writing, developing, and programming to aid/facilitate the creation of new Jiggs, models, and product upgrades.
• Preparing mechanical engineering drawings to aid the outsourcing of jigging, templates, gauges, etc.
• Promote a safe work environment and practises in the CNC and multi-cam areas and assist management with identifying and mitigating hazards or risks within the area.

TO APPLY YOU SHOULD HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS:

• 2-3 Years of Exp Leading a Team
• Solid Timber or Furniture Manufacturing Background
• Multi-Cam & Biesse's CNC
• High attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

Great Opportunity for driven individuals who are looking for a long-term and rewarding role with a strong, stable company. $85K—$95k + Super. 38 to 42 hours a week. Monday to Friday, 7am to 3pm (occasional Saturday).
