This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful precision manufacturing business in the eastern suburbs. This well-established company has a strong, stable history in various high-tech industries. They specialize in the design and manufacture of precision components, tooling, and advanced manufacturing solutions using the latest technology.

We seek an engineer who can plan, direct, and coordinate process optimization, equipment performance, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and quality.

You will be responsible for programming, setting up, and optimizing robotic manufacturing cells, including robotic welding and precision cutting systems. You will also troubleshoot, modify, and refine automation programs to support both existing and new production.

You will also get involved in the following:

• Design jigs and fixtures to improve welding, assembly, and machining processes.
• Collaborate with contractors and suppliers for equipment repair and maintenance.
• Oversee and manage preventive maintenance programs.
• Assist production teams with process improvements and troubleshooting.
• Utilize SolidWorks to model and create shop floor drawings for production support.
• Develop and maintain shop floor documentation to streamline operations.
• Support sales and engineering teams with product design to ensure manufacturability.

TO APPLY YOU SHOULD HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS:

• Engineering Degree in relevant discipline.
• CNC Machining Knowledge.
• CAD/CAM Software skills.
• Process Optimisation.
• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma knowledge
• Metrology & Quality Assurance 
• ERP Systems skills
• Automation & Robotics
