We are looking for Marine Engineering Services for one of our clients with the following details:

Starting date: ASAP

Duration: 12 months

Renewable: Yes

Location: France Paris area

Worldwide missions to be forecasted due to spread of work-packages and Contractors’ locations;

frequent missions in Angola

Status:  residential

Qualifications & Experience Required:

  • Qualification:Engineer or equivalent
  • Languages: English mandatory – Portuguese would be a plus
  • Professional Experience: 15 /20 years in Oil & Gas industry on Offshore Projects / Fields
  • Experience within project: ± 10 years with sound engineering experience in mooring engineering
  • Excellent communication skills, dynamism, high motivation, out-of-the-box thinking, ability to convince, innovative and pionner spirit, transverse coordination, organized, leadership and ability to put issues into perspective.

The service holder shall ensure the following missions:

  • To take the responsibility, under the Hull Buoy and Mooring Manager’s, of part of the activities, as defined by his hierarchy.
  • In charge of all activities related to the FPSO marine systems life extension including the offloading buoy and tandem.
  • Ensure Engineering dossier developed for the Hull appurtenance and systems, offloading buoy & tandem equipment refurbishment by OEM and sub-contractor is optimized and adequate for urgent implementation.
  • Lead the FPSO tandem refurbishment activities (organization, preparation, procedures, planning, coordination between involved departments, OEM and contractors)
  • Liaising with Floating Unit Lead Engineer for the certification / classification society in view of class renewal.
  • Ensure Conditions of class and integrity issue of hull and offloading system treated.
  • Liase with mooring Engineer and Hull Engineer when necessary.
  • Co-ordination and liaison with OT/TL/TEC/SMA
  • Defined further inspection, operation and maintenance manuals & plan updated for hull and offloading systems with modifications, aging and system history (failure).
  • Ensure roles and responsibilities between HBM FEED Team and TEEPA entities (PBF, EPT, FO) are clear and formalized. Put in place and lead regular interfaces and coordination meeting.
  • Liaise with OneTech discipline specialists as necessary especially OT/TEC/SMA naval architect.
  • Timely reporting to the HBM Manager, assisting him, as required, in communication with Project Management, and highlighting progress and encountered areas of concern.
  • Assist in follow-up, coordination and preparation of the FEED mooring related documentation (DCC)
  • Ensuring that Engineering / Qualification / Procurement activities are performed in line with Contracts requirements and Project Specifications and issue proper derogations, if required
  • Following up the Hull systems and offloading systems Engineering / Qualification / Procurement activities
  • Direct the FEED / Service contractors to effective resolution of all interface matter related to mooring engineering
  • Answering FEED and services contractors technical queries as necessary
  • Issuing reports and presentations as required, necessary.
  • Participating in various technical reviews (Hazids, Hazops, Project Technical Reviews, Risk Assessments...) and ensuring implementation of recommendations as necessary
  • Liaising actively with all concerned technical specialists involved in the technical development / management of said contracts. The service holder shall also have to liaise actively with other Line Managers (HSE, QA and LC) and with specialists from Project Services (planner, budget, and cost control) for the development / management of contracts.
  • Performing the close-out of Contract(s) with respect to TEP Angola and Project procedures.
  • Participating in reducing contractual risks associated with interfaces with other packages and highlighting potential risks occurring during the execution of the contract.

HSE 

  • To ensure that all safety and environmental required studies will be reviewed/updated, and that final design will comply with ALARP policy.
  • To ensure that the design will comply with all HSE requirements.
  • To ensure compliance to the Company and affiliate referential
  • To attend safety inductions as required and adapt behavior to fully comply with office security, health, safety and environmental instruction, comply with ethic and compliances instruction.
  • To stay vigilant and maintain continuous awareness of hazard and surroundings,
  • To participate to programs (Golden rules, observation card, Time out authority, our lives first, ...) and initiatives to improve HSE performance. To report to Management on any issue or observation and propose way of improvement.
  • Ensure the Topside Mooring Handling equipment refurbishment work is prepared according to Company’s rules, sites procedure and Industry Best Practices
