We are looking for a Site Representative / Resident Expeditor for one of our clients with the following details:

Location: Rouen, France

Contract Duration: At least 6 months, full time availability

Qualification and Experience Required:

  • Proven skills in document review and management
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in similar expediting function / site representative
  • Some knowledge / skills on the following topics would be appreciated: coating, planning, communication, high level reporting, risks management
  • Pipeline and/or piping project experience is a plus
  • Knowledge of industry processes, codes ISO 21809 & standards, regarding coating activities is a must
  • Teamwork, coordination, organization, and strong leadership skills
  • Solution oriented, with focus on customer satisfaction and attention to detail
  • Native French Speaker preferred
  • English technical language is mandatory

Description of the Function:

  • The Expeditor is in charge to follow and supervise the preparation, testing and manufacturing activities of the Sub Supplier at site. He is locally based in the Sub Supplier premises as a “resident expeditor”.
  • Acting as a site representative, He/she supervises and ensures that all project BUYER’s and SUPPLIER’s requirements are implemented and strictly followed. He/she works in close collaboration with the Project Team based in Louveciennes and Ranville (France) and reports to the Project Fabrication Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The Job Holder is responsible, within the project team, for following-up, monitoring and supervising Manufacturing & Inspection activities carried out by our Sub Supplier’s during the Procurement phase, ensuring that contractual and technical requirements are duly applied by Sub Suppliers.
  • The Job Holder is not in charge of the Quality Control (QC) as another resource will be dedicated to this task.
  • The Job Holder is also accountable for demonstrating, individually, an exemplary behaviour with regard to HSSE rules & requirements at site.
  • The job holder is responsible for identifying any potential issue during the preparation or manufacturing phase of the scope of supply that may impact the project schedule.
  • He/she maintain a clear and accurate progress status of the production.
  • A multi discipline skill (Package management, communication, knowledge of industrial coating process, code ISO 21809, computing pack office, email…) will be necessary in order to fullfil the position.
