About the Role

Are you a passionate and experienced Registered Nurse ready to make a real impact? We are looking for a motivated individual to step into a dual role as an RN & Clinical Care Funding Officer. This unique opportunity combines hands-on nursing care with a strategic role focused on funding and care planning, all within a supportive and innovative aged care environment.

You’ll be responsible for providing high-quality clinical care, monitoring residents’ health, and ensuring accurate and comprehensive documentation. By implementing the Australian National Aged Care Classification (AN-ACC), you’ll contribute to meeting financial KPIs while balancing resident care needs and choices.

This is a dynamic role that requires leadership, excellent communication skills, and the ability to inspire and educate others to achieve best-practice outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing assessments and quality documentation.
  • Create and update individualized care plans tailored to residents’ needs.
  • Manage AN-ACC reviews and claims submissions via My Aged Care to optimize funding outcomes.
  • Collaborate with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams to enhance care planning and implementation.
  • Oversee clinical documentation, including new admissions and ongoing care requirements.
  • Support clinical staff through education, mentoring, and leadership in best practices.
  • Ensure all care practices maintain the dignity, independence, and integrity of residents.

About You

You are an experienced Registered Nurse with:

  • Bachelor of Nursing and current AHPRA registration.
  • Knowledge and experience with AN-ACC assessments, claims submissions, and policies.
  • Current clinical expertise and a strong understanding of aged care trends.
  • Familiarity with new Aged Care Quality Standards and their relationship with AN-ACC.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • The ability to coordinate and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Autumn Care (highly regarded).
